I am looking for free public records, not free to search and then pay for results?

Everytime a website says its free public records, it lets you search but then it wants you to pay for the results. Anyone know of a website that is truly free?

I have tried looking everywhere I can think of but can’t seem to find where I can find access to FREE Public Records of sex offenders in my area. Every site I try says it is free but when I go there to look there always seems to be a charge. I thought that was supposed to be Public Knowledge… Anyone know ?

I’ve just seen an add for a set of instructions to have your phone number removed from public records, that they are charging $5.00 for, and I know someone has to have that answer that is willing to make the information available for free.

How to you access public court records online for free in Alabama?

I tried to find the public record data base, but there are so many scams out there that want to charge you to access public court records. I am not sure about Alabama, but in my state you can access this information online, anytime, free of charge.

How come we can still pull up the marriage certificate in public records if it was annulled?

Mia asked:

I have a friend who we found out got married back in January but didn’t tell anyone. When we asked about it, he said he got the marriage annulled shortly after the marriage. But the marriage license is still visible in public records for the county. Since an annulment is suppose to make the marriage seem like it never happened, shouldn’t the license be removed from public record or is it there forever? By the way, we live in Vegas, how ironic!
